Hollin House Cottage is a cottage in the beautiful surroundings of Seathwaite in the Lake District. Walk outside and you can see Harter fell in one direction and The Old Man of Coniston in the other.
Please note that the main access road from Ulpha to the HoHoCo will be closed from 15 April for 3 weeks at Hall Dunnerdale, presumably for road resurfacing, meaning road access is only possible via Wrynose. Please check council websites for details.
Update: there may be access to local traffic according to Richard-the-farmer. The work is laying fibre for comms NOT pot hole filling.
Part of the refurbished barn, the living room is centred around the squirrel wood burner sitting in front of a slate wall. The room is a warm and cosy refuge with windows overlooking the garden on one side and Harter fell on the other . . .
. . . there is a sofa bed and various comfy chairs . . .
. . . a small HiFi unit and many games and puzzles in the cupboard.
The dining room also acts as a second living room. Great for breakfast while checking out the weather. It has an open fire and original slate flooring, now well covered with rugs . . .
. . . it also has several comfy chairs and a bluetooth speaker if sounds are needed to match the views.
There is a bathroom in the extension with a bath and shower combined. Nice to soak after the fells.
Sleeping . . .
The first bedroom has a double bed, dressing table, inbuilt cupboards and another great view, especially in bed in the mornings
The second bedroom is larger, has free standing wardrobes and a dressing table.
Cooking . . .
The kitchen contains all you will need. Plenty of storage cupboards and full of staples. There is an electric cooker with oven and hob and grilling facilities and an extractor hood too. Cutlery for both cooking and eating and full crockery is also provided . . .
. . . further assistance is provided in the form of a fridge / freezer, microwave and coffee machine and a bread maker should you be so inclined.
Just behind the cottage there is a trail leading to Consiston Old Man . . .
There is a secluded and peaceful garden with seating and a table to eat and drink and savor the views of Harter Fell . . .

. . . there is a patio to eat and drink and you can just see private parking for two cars . . .
. . . there is outside washroom with a second loo and a washing machine and sink . . .
. . . and finally just the Lakes itself . . .
